Senior Medical Assistant
Dialysis Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Sabah
Salary range: RM 5,000++
Job Description
- Clinical care for dialysis patients
- Responsible to deliver optimum care to patients by utilizing the clinical process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation, in accordance with the local and international standard and philosophy.
- Uphold the infection control policies in workplace by showing as a good role model and always ensures all other members adhere to the infection control policies.
- Ensures monitoring of the unit stock levels of consumables and medications for reordering to avoid interruption in the operational of assigned centre.
- Maintains clinical and medical supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Performs other-position related duties as assigned, depending on management decision and assignment setting.
- Assist the head nurse to ensure effective systems are in place to gain patients and nurses’ feedback on their experience of care.
- Ensure continuous health assessment and health education are being provided for patient to assess their progress and achievement of desired outcomes.
- Mentoring trainees and junior nurses.
- Responsible to report and assist in the investigation of any incident within the workplace including sharp injury, near hit and property damage.
- Take over as team leader when crisis arise in the centre such medical emergency, natural disaster, patient-nurse conflict, water or electric interruption, any incident causing interruption of patient dialysis treatment.

Qualification
Minimum Diploma in Medical Assistant
Registered with Malaysian Medical Assistant Board
Posses a renal post basic certificate
